Picked Up The Money Dad Left

At the end of the school year Ken Jones took his ten-year-old son with him on a trip round his territory. The boy was thrilled to see for himself all the people and places he'd heard his dad talk about. After they came home there was all the ceremony of getting ready for Christmas.

On the great day the family were all surprised at the expensive presents Ken's youngster had bought for everyone. His mother asked him:

"Michael, where did you get the money for all these presents?"

"Easy, Mum. Everywhere Dad took me for a meal he left money on the table, so before we left I just picked it up."
