Annual Vacation
A rep for McSporran & McHaggis was caught in torrential rain. It came down in sheets. He sent off a telegram to Glasgow:
"MAROONED BY FLOODS, WIRE INSTRUCTIONS."
Two hours later the reply came back: "COMMENCE ANNUAL VACATION IMMEDIATELY."
