Inefficiencies

The new typist was so sweet and pleasant that the boss didn't have the heart to tell her off about her spelling mistakes, her sloppy typing and her general inefficiency.

One morning he saw her searching frantically through the filingcabinets and cupboards, with tears streaming down her face.

'Come, come,' he said soothingly. 'Whatever it is you've lost, it can't be so important that you should get this upset about it.'

'It is!' she sobbed. 'It's my lunch!'
