The manager called his assistant into the office and closed the door sternly. 'Now listen to me,' he said. 'There's £50 missing from the petty cash box. There are only two keys to that box. I have one and you have the other.'

'Well,' said the assistant, 'suppose we each put in £25 and say no more about it?'
