Disliked

The new boss had only been in the factory for three months but he was beginning to get the distinct impression that all the work force hated him. He called in the shop-floor manager and said, 'Why don't the men like me? At my last place, they gave me a set of silver-plated cutlery when I left.'

'Is that all?' said the shop-floor manager. 'If you'd only leave here, we'd give you a solid gold dinner service!'
