Candidates For Executive Level

The boss of an engineering firm was looking to promote one of his juniors to senior executive level. He prepared a questionnaire which he distributed to all the likely candidates. One question asked: 'Have you any reasons for believing that you possess executive potential?'

One hopeful gave the following answer: 'I think I would make a successful executive because I never get lonely and I wouldn't mind working in a private office on my own.'
